She has an instructing and supervising background with the Massage Therapy Students of Trillium College (Kingston Campus) since October 2011, but she is currently focusing on her massage therapy practice and BBMT.

Alana is a proud graduate of the Canadian College of Massage & Hydrotherapy, which is a very reputable college, founded in 1946, to rehabilitate Canadian Military Veterans.

She offers a very comprehensive & efficient health history intake and specializes in techniques & add-ons such as: Deep-tissue, Myofascial Release, Passive Stretching, Joint Mobilizations, Hot Stone Massage, Aromatherapy, Indie Head Massage, & Mindfulness-based massage therapy. She has extensive experience in treating Sports, Repetitive-Strain Injuries, Pre & Post Operative Conditions/Injuries, Scar tissue: Ie mastectomy, diaphragm, abdominal, musculoskeletal, Pre & post-natal & more. Having said that, she is quite happy to provide a complete relaxation massage & incorporates it into each individualized therapeutic treatment.

She is currently practicing a more holistic massage therapy practice, encouraging full-diaphragmatic breathing and a more mindfulness based experience throughout your massage therapy session. Of course, working within your comfort levels to promote overall well-being.

*Alana has recently completed her YTT200 (Yoga Teacher Training through Janati Yoga school - awaiting her successful completion & certification). In a yoga session/class with Alana, you can expect to be led and cued in a very mindful way. She focuses on breath and mindfulness. If it is a movement based class, she will allow you to explore your own practice with guidance. You can expect to be led in a safe and accessible way and leave feeling uplifted, relaxed and more connected with your body & mind.

Please inquire, as she is happy to offer private, semi-private, & group yoga classes; as well as retreats, special occasions and ONLINE yoga via Zoom.

She is in good standing with the CMTO & RMT Community Co-ordinator of the RMTAO.
